Admission Procedure

  • Mention the Admission test taken with Name and address of the Test Agency and URL of their website. MHT – CET -2012 conducted by Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State. www.dte.org.in
  • Percentage of seats allotted to the candidates as per the Test taken [AIEEE/CET (State conducted test /University tests)/Association conducted test] are as follows: 65% MHT-CET, 15% All India basis and 20% at Institute Level.
  • Calendar for admission against management / vacant seats As prescribed by the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State from time to time. Date of acceptance of the candidate: about 7 days. Last date for closing of admission: As prescribed by the Competent Authority from time to time. Starting of the Academic session: As per the directives of the DTE, Mumbai, M.S. The policy for refund of the fee, in case of withdrawal, should be clearly notified: As prescribed by the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State.
  • CRITERIA AND WEIGHTAGES FOR ADMISSION Describe each criteria with its respective weight ages i.e. Admission Test, Marks in qualifying examination etc. PCM Marks 45% and valid score of MHT-CET/AIEEE
  • Mention the minimum level of acceptance, if any. Minimum level of marks accepted is 40% in PCM for Backward class category from the State of Maharashtra.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligibility criteria for admission of Maharashtra State and OMS candidate to First year degree courses in Engineering / Technology:
    1. Candidates should be an Indian National.
    2. Passed the HSC (Std. XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and secured minimum 45% marks i.e. 135 marks out of 300 marks (minimum 40% marks i.e. 120 marks out of 300 marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories belonging to the State of Maharashtra only) in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together.
    3. Obtained non-zero score in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at MHT-CET OR Candidate should have a valid AIEEE Score (i.e. the total score should be positive)

  • Eligibility criteria for J & K migrant candidates:
    1. Candidates should be an Indian National,
    2. Passed the HSC (Std. XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects and secured minimum 50% marks i.e. 150 marks out of 300 marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects added together,
    3. The candidates belonging to the above category are not required to appear for the MHT-CET / AIEEE.

  • Direct Admission to Second Year-Degree Course in Engineering (Lateral Entry):
    1. Eligibility Criteria: The Candidate must be an Indian National and passed Post-SSC or Post-HSC Diploma Course in Engineering/Technology with at least 45 % marks (40 % marks in the case of candidates from Back-ward class and Physically Handicapped categories belonging to the State of Maharashtra only) in the Appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology from an AICTE approved Institution with English as the medium of instruction at Diploma level.

      OR

      The Candidate must be an Indian National and passed B.Sc. Degree from a UGC /Association of Indian Universities recognized University with at least 45% marks (40 % marks in the case of candidates from Back-ward class and Physically Handicapped categories belonging to the State of Maharashtra only).
