2. M.Sc Nursing enrolled students – 1st Year or 2nd Year can enroll for the course.


3. The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.

Basic B.Sc Nursing

Admission Criteria:

The candidate should have attained or shall attain the age of 17years on the day of admission to the college prescribed by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik.

• Have passed 12th standard (10+2) Higher Secondary School Examination of Maharashtra state Board or other examination recognized as equivalent by the University, consisting of Physics,Chemistry, Biology(Botany, Zoology)and English.
• Be physically and mentally fit for admission.
• Have obtained not less than 45%of the total marks at the qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English taken together. However the applicant belonging to backward classes must have secured not less than 40% at the qualifying examinations in the said subjects taken together.
• Have passed qualifying examinations at one and the same attempt i.e. an applicant who passes the examination in parts will not be held eligible.

Post Basic B Sc Nursing

Admission Criteria:

To be eligible for admission to this course, a candidate should have:

1. Passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the university for this purpose. Those who have done 10+1 in or before 1986, will be eligible for admission.
2. Obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council. A male nurse, trained before the implementation of the new integrated course besides being registered as a nurse with State Nurses Registration Council, shall produce evidence of training approved by Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of midwifery in any one of the following areas:
   • O.T. Techniques
   • Ophthalmic Nursing
   • Leprosy Nursing
   • TB Nursing
   • Psychiatric Nursing
   • Neurological and Neuro surgical Nursing
   • Community Health Nursing
   • Cancer Nursing
   • Orthopedic Nursing
3. Candidates should be medically fit.

Rules and Regulations:

Attendance: The University criteria will be followed for attendance.
Examinations: Examinations in Theory and Practical in each year will be conducted as per the rules of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik. For the Internal Assessment there are three examinations conducted viz: -the Periodical, Mid-Term and Pre-Final Examination. Various assignments given from time to time throughout the academic year are considered for the Internal Assessment. Following final examinations leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing will be conducted.

• The First Year Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing Examination.
• The Second Year Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing Examination.

Vacations: Students will be given vacation as per University rules.

M Sc Nursing

Admission Form

Admission Criteria:

Duration :- Duration of the course is 2 years for M.Sc. (Nursing)

1. The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with any Stat Nursing Registration Council.
2. The minimum education requirements shall be the passing of B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
3. The candidate should have undergone in B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing in an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
4. Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
5. Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
6. Candidate shall be medically fit.
7. 5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates may be given.
8. Deputed candidates should apply through their authority.
