PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Sinhgad Technical Education Society (STES) was established in the year 1993 by Hon.Prof. M.N.Navale with the objective of providing quality education in the field of Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Architecture, Medical and the basic school education. STES had always emphasized in all round development of our students with the balance of curricular and extra-curricular activities.

In the perspective of vast changing scenario of globalization pharmaceutical industry and professionals will play a major role in shaping our national economy. The ever growing demand is increased for pharmacy professionals not only in the country but even worldwide. WHO have estimated that India apart from China will become the leading Pharma Manufacturer and supplier in future.

Sinhgad Institute of Pharmacy (SIOP) is established in the year 2005. The SIOP is recognized by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and affiliated to Sawitribai Phule Pune University. The college has earned reputation as a center for quality education in Pharmaceutical Sciences due to excellent infrastructure, well equipped laboratories, experienced and dedicated teaching staff, well stocked library with internet facility, cultural center and sport facilities. A modern machine room was developed reflecting the future vision of Pharmaceutical scenario at International Level.

The various new avenues are opening in the Pharma sector such as Clinical Pharmacy, Community Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Drug Regulatory Affairs and Discovery of new drug molecules. It is the profession responsible for the appropriate use of medications, devices & services in order to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes. The main goal of SIOP is to emerge as a role model in pharmacy education in India and excel in each and every sector of pharmacy profession.
