The 5th Alumni Meet of Sinhgad Institute of Pharmacy (SIOPIAN) was held on 07/03/2015, Saturday, in the Auditorium of Sinhgad Institute of Pharmacy, Narhe, Pune - 41.

As per the agenda, the meeting was started at 5.30 pm by lighting of lamp by the hands of Dr. Shaligramji Bhandari (Socialist, Pune), Dr. K. G. Bothara (Principal and Secretary of Association), Dr. C. R. Kokare (Vice-Principal), Dr. P. B. Miniyar (Treasurer of Association) and Mr. Keyur Dandekar (Alumni 2011 batch). The above dignitaries chaired the meet. There were 50 alumni, 20 Final year M. Pharm. students, 25 Final year B. Pharm students and 15 teaching faculty members were present.

The Alumni Bulletin 2014 was released by the hands of Dr. Shaligramji Bhandari. Dr. Shaligramji Bhandari, gave motivational and inspiring talk on 'Professional Ethics' on this occasion.

4th Alumni Meet and Annual General Meeting of the members of association was held on Monday 3^rd March 2014 in the auditorium of Sinhgad Institute of Pharmacy

As per the agenda, the meeting started at 4.00 pm by lightening of the lamp by Mr. Subhash Ware (Socialist, Pune), Mr. M. B. Khurjekar, (Director, Central Placement Cell, STES, Pune), Dr. C. R. Kokare (Principal and Secretary of Association), Dr. P. B. Miniyar (Vice-Principal & Treasurer of Association) and Mr. Amol Najan (Alumni 2009 batch) .

41 alumni, 30 Final year M. Pharm. students, 35 Final year B. Pharm students and 15 teaching faculty members were present. Ms. Deepali Divate commenced the function by introducing the chief guest - Mr. Subhash Ware & guest of honor Mr. M. B. Khurjekar. Dr. C. R. Kokare felicitated Mr. Subhash Ware with a bouquet & shawl and Mr. M. B. Khurjekar was felicitated by Dr. P. B. Miniyar. The logo of Alumni association and Alumni Bulletin 2013 was released by the chief guest and guest of honour respectively.

Mr. Subhash Ware spoke about the responsibilities of a pharmacist towards the society. Mr. Khurjekar touched upon how alma matters are a mouth piece of the Institute & how they can unite and create job opportunities for the future pass outs.

Mr. Hansraj Kore (M. Pharm - Batch 2012) expressed his views . Mr. Ramakant Patil (M.Pharm - Batch 2012) appreciated the Library facility at SIOP. Mr. Sagar Vidhate (B. Pharm - Batch 2013) mentioned that excellent infrastructure and faculty was his primary inclination for taking admission for M. Pharm. at SIOP . Mr. Amol Najan (B.Pharm - Batch 2009) contributes the change in his personality to the efforts taken by the college and faculty & he is currently running 2 pharmacies in Pune. Mahesh Karadkar (B. Pharm - Batch 2011), working in Clinical Data Management at Syntel, apprised of demand for Pharmacists in IT sector. Ms. Pratishta Hakkanuru (M. Pharm - Batch 2013) stressed on the need for soft skill development with a view to better placements.

A vote of thanks was given by Dr. P. B. Miniyar, Treasurer of the Association after an overview of the activities in 2013. He invited alumni and final year students of B. Pharm. as well as M. Pharm. to enroll their names on www.alumni.sinhgad.edu. The event concluded with a dinner at Raj Garden, Dhayari.
