Rules for Admission for Institutional Quota Seats

  1. All eligible Candidates who were assigned merit number by DTE can only apply for admission for Institutional Quota seats.
  2. Admissions shall be offered to the eligible candidates on the basis of their inter-se-merit derived from merit list declared by the Institute for Institutional Quota Seats.
  3. The candidate should fulfill the following Minimum Eligibility Criteria For Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates and All India Candidature Candidates
    1. The candidate should be an Indian National
    2. Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics or Biotechnology or Biology as one of the subjects and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together
    3. Obtained Score in MHT-CET-2016
  4. The merit list for the Candidates shall be prepared on the basis of marks or score secured by the Candidate in the MHT-CET-2016 conducted by the Competent Authority.
    Provided that, in case of tie, the relative merit of different Candidatures shall be resolved in the following order of preference and the methodology as specified below.
    1. Higher marks in Mathematics or Biology at MHT-CET-2016
    2. Higher marks in Physics at MHT-CET-2016
    3. Higher percentage of marks in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry added together at Board or qualifying examination
    4. Higher percentage of marks in the subject Mathematics or Biology at HSC
    5. Higher percentage of marks in the subject Physics at HSC
    6. Higher percentage of marks in aggregate in HSC.
  5. First twenty candidates in the merit list shall have to confirm the admission by submitting original documents and payment of full fees as per above schedule.
  6. Any vacancy arising out of the candidates admitted in the Institutional Quota Seats shall be filled from the candidates in the next order of merit till the cutoff date of admissions i.e. 14/8/2016


Institutional Level Round

If the seats remain vacant after all CAP rounds, the said seats shall be filled in by the institute through Institutional Level Round with prior approval of the Competent Authority.
Such vacant seats shall be filled in from amongst the candidates who have applied for such seats as per the directives of the Competent Authority after 8th August 2016 till Cut-Off date of admission i.e. 14/8/2016.
