A warm and affectionate welcome from the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 2006 with an intake of 60 students. Currently the department has an intake of 240 students in first shift and additional 120 in second shift. Our department has a team of qualified and experienced faculty and staff members and we are striving hard continuously to improve upon the quality of education and to maintain its position of leadership in engineering and technology. Faculties are encouraged to attend various conferences, seminars and workshops to upgrade their knowledge.
To enhance the knowledge of the students, the department is conducting Value Addition Programme in CFD, MATLAB, ANSYS, CAD, FEA, C & C++ etc. as per the needs of the industry. For the overall personality development of students, department has established ‘Mechanical Engineering Student Association (MESA)’ and Society of Automotive Engineer (SAE) Chapter. Besides these activities a summer and winter internship with reputed organizations are arranged, that provides the students with vital industry exposure. I am certain that our students will prove to be an invaluable asset to an organization.
System of tests conducted for all subjects in the department of mechanical engineering in SKNCOE prepares students before exam well. All the faculty members of the department are very much cooperative to all students at all the times. Management of College is supportive to all the students.

I am very happy that many teachers of our department enrolled for Ph.D. program and their research will reflect in teaching. Faculty members have presented and published papers in National and International Level Journals / Conferences. We always work with the motto "Nothing can be achieved without genuine efforts." The core values of the department helps the students to develop their overall personality and make them worthy technocrat to compete and work at global level in fields of energy and CAD/CAM/CAE. Our department has been conducting seminar / conferences since its beginning to keep the faculty and students abreast with the latest developments in the field of technical education.
