Smt. Kashibai Navale College of Engineering has started Information Technology Department in the year 2001 with the intake capacity of 60 students and gradually increased to 120 students within last four years, with a motive to produce worthy software professionals to the Industry. Our major emphasis of imparting technical training to encourage curiosity and innovativeness among our students and lay a foundation from where they can acquire quick learning ability and adaptively with the fast changing needs of the industry. The department is committed to the information technology course by offering post graduate course in the field of information technology with intake 18 students.
"The department is making progress with coordinated effor ts of highly qualified and dedicated staff. From its very first batch the department has produced University toppers in SE, TE as well as BE and total 28 University rankers till date. Two faculty members have been pursuing their PhD program in wireless communication from Alborg University, Denmark. Major research thirst areas are Software Engineering, Wireless Communication, Sensor Networks, Multimedia, Meta Data Processing, Cloud Services, Image Processing and Computing Applications and Internet of Things(IoT).
We believe that "Education never ends", so we motivate and encourage our students who wish to pursue their further studies like ME / M.Tech., MBA, MS, PhD, Post Doc, through different competitive examinations like GATE, CAT, GRE etc."
