Mechanical Engineering is multitalented and evergreen branch of engineering. A Mechanical Engineer can work in various specialized areas like Automotive Systems, Combustion and Propulsion, Design Engineering, Fluid Power Engineering, Dynamic Systems and Controls, Energy Systems and Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Refrigeration & Air conditioning and most importantly in software fields. The department has a ver y strong team of experienced and highly qualified faculty as per AICTE Norms, who are devoted and highly motivated to not only teach academics but to groom the students for their all round development.

For the benefit of the students, the department organizes large number of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities such as industrial visits, project competition -Mutation, Business clubs, LCD Presentations, Group Discussions, Profile and Project Presentation, Quiz, Techtronic – A Technical Event , Design & poster competitions, Invited Talks on latest events, soft skills & personality development, AMCAT Test, Aptitude tests, Mock interviews, games and sports competitions, entertainment activities, art exhibitions and many more Project based learning is also an innovative concept implemented The group of the students can learn more

from the project assigned to them and give the solution which increases the thinking ability and creativity of the students. Various Students activities are organized under the tutelage of Students Associations, Professional bodies of the Department like Mechanical Engineering Students Association (MESA), Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), Indian Society of Heating, Airconditioning & Refrigeration Engineers (ISHARE).Sixteen Laboratories and workshops are not only equipped with experimental set-ups as per curriculum requirement but also have many additional projects, created both by students and faculty members to give the exposure to students with latest happenings beyond syllabi.

CAD CAM/Automation labs are equipped with high-end hardware and sof t ware like Ansys, Hyper works, ProE, Cat ia, CAD, Automat i on Studi o and other general purpose software’s. Automation lab also has CNC lathe trainer along with simulation software.Finally we are seriously committed to establish our self as a leading Department where there is a vibrant exchange and gain of knowledge, skills required to carve a true resourceful and competent Mechanical engineer and a great human being.
