He has served the Indian Army for 35 years with distinction and has been awarded Vishist Seva Medal & Sena Medal for gallantry and administrative ability by the President of India. He brings to the post has vast experience of teaching in Army Institutes and Administration at all levels of Army Units including Central Schools and Army Public Schools.

He is a graduate in Science from Shivaji University, Masters in Science from Madras University and Master's Diploma in Business Administration from Symbiosis, Pune.
