I welcome you all at Sinhgad Institute of Technology, which is housed in sprawling campus of 125 acres on Pune-Mumbai Expressway. STES, under dynamic leadership of Prof. M. N. Navale, has developed excellent infrastructure for fully residential colleges at Lonavala. Academic discipline with space for individual innovations, ‘willing to work’ faculty with experience on diversified areas of knowledge, students working 12 hrs. a day on academic and life skill activities, are the strengths of the college.

The experience of last 15 yrs. in academics and students feedback has been utilized to develop Activity Plan, on which, SIT has started endeavoring with confidence. Not only academic activities are planned but programmes for life skill development of students are also implemented enthusiastically. It is understood, for an Enginnering College, industry interface is extremely important. Campus Extend programme of Zensar Technologies, Faculty Development programmes from various industries, presentations etc. are few examples of prompt initiative. Conferences, workshops, invited talks are regular activities in college.
