Sinhgad Technical Education Society was established in the year 1993 by Prof. M.N. Navale, an eminent academician; with a primary objective to provide quality education offering undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the field of Engineering, Management and Pharmacy, and Undergraduate courses in Architecture, Arts, Commerce, Science, Law, Nursing, Dental and Medical fields; besides Day-school and Residential-school programmes from Kindergarten onwards.

Today, S.T.E.S., under its aegis has, over 65 institutes located in 5 fully developed campuses spread over 100 hectares in the city of Pune and Lonavala. More than 30,000 students are pursuing their education for various courses, supported by experienced and highly qualified full time faculty members.

All the institutes are approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Pune University for the Technical and Management Courses. The Dental, Medical and Nursing colleges are approved by their respective Councils and affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences.
