Co – Curricular Activities

Extended Studio : Every day students have to complete their work in the studio after the college hour as per schedule under the guidance of the faculty.

Computer Classes : Extra classes in modules from introduction to advanced software packages as Archi Cad 9, Autocad 2000, Architectural Desktop, 3D Studio etc are organized.

Sketching Classes : Perceptual sketching being on important visualization and creative tool for architecture, extra classes are conducted.

Model Making Workshop : To give proper training in making architectural models to support the visualization skill of the architectural design in three dimension, extra classes are conducted. A set of hand held power tools as well as carpentry hand tools are provided in the model making workshop. The students are also encouraged to take up woodworking and junk sculpture as hobbies in their spare time.

Book Review : To develop book reading and reviewing skills for the students, extra classes are conducted for all classes.

Construction Workshop:

Ferroconcrete is an emerging field of construction and is seen as an economic and versatile material for the conventional techniques. To make its nature / properties known to the students at graduate level such workshops are conducted on regular basic.

Workshops And Juries:
A Tradition of conducting workshops & juries by eminent architects is evident at SCOA Vadgaon, our institute at Lonavala will follow this tradition. & continue to add value to studies in the same manner.

Photography Session :
Photography is already considered as the most powerful technology for documentation and presentation of the architectural works. To give the exposure to the advanced systems to develop the skills, experts in the fields are invited for guiding the students.

Annual Study Tours 2005-2006
Study tours being the essential part of course curriculum, will be conducted to various part of India for each year followed by a design studies problem review.
